2023 Food Drive
We live in a very generous community but still, many in our community struggle with food insecurity; Eganville Rotary is helping to provide some needed support to our local food banks. In December 2023 one thousand dollars each was donated to The Sharing Place Food Bank in Pikwakanagan and the Eganville and Area Community Food Bank in Eganville. Throughout the year, Rotary has provided many food vouchers to families identified by area social service agencies to ease them through bad times. This Christmas season, Eganville Rotary donated $2000 towards some 150+ turkey dinners’ with all the trimmings’ for needy and lonely individuals. Meals are delivered by our Senior Needs Association volunteers and bring some measure of happiness. Our club continues to address the needs brought to our attention by different social agencies. All requests are considered thoughtfully and we help if we can.
Meals on Wheels is a program supported by Eganville Rotary. The club donates $3000 annually to The Eganville and District Senior Needs Association who administers the program.
